What is DTF/Direct to Film?
Direct-to-film is a relatively new technology that allows users to transfer designs from film to another material. DTF printing involves printing a design onto a special film using water based ink, applying and melting a powder adhesive to the printed film.
Once cured, the transfer can then be stored or used right away for transferring. No cutting or weeding is required, transfers are in vibrant full colour, and the application is simple and permanent.
DTF printing can realize one-off designs and eliminate the waste of unsold inventory. In comparison with other technologies, DTF printing is less expensive, especially for small batch orders.
